The Forest Agency, an implementing agency of the Government of Mongolia, and the Billion Trees Socially Oriented NGO signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on November 8, 2024, to collaborate in the forestry sector.

Under this MoU, the parties will work together within the framework of the "Billion Trees" national movement initiated by the President of Mongolia. Their cooperation will focus on combating climate change, desertification, land degradation, and dust storms. The collaboration includes supporting and coordinating efforts among tree nurseries, individuals, enterprises, organizations, and researchers engaged in tree planting and cultivation. Additionally, the parties will promote active participation, expand international cooperation, exchange information, analyze the progress of the national movement, enhance its implementation, and ensure tangible results.
