The “Billion Trees National Movement” NGO signs a MoU on cooperation with the Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation.

The “Billion Trees” National Movement, which is an initiative to support and activate the “Billion Trees National Movement” initiated by the President of Mongolia, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation (MASHAV) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel on December 17, 2024, with the aim of improving the green spaces of cities and towns, increasing forest reserves, and stimulating tree planting activities, and contributing to reducing desertification and mitigating climate change.

Within the framework of the memorandum, the parties will begin tree planting in the Ulaanbaatar city area in the spring of 2025, which will contribute to reducing air and soil pollution in the city. This organization (MASHAV) was established in 1958 to provide humanitarian assistance and technical support to countries. It is currently actively working to address global challenges, overcome the difficulties countries face in achieving sustainable development goals, and reduce poverty.
